Mysterious object seen 50 light years away from Earth, NASA shares video of rare discovery
US space agency NASA has shared footage of a rare brown dwarf object. it should be about 13 billion years old. Its discovery is going on unintentionally which is why it had been given the name - The Accident. These brown dwarfs are mysterious objects that lie between a large gas planet and atiny low star. Their size isn't large enough that hydrogen fusion can happen in them like stars. it's believed that there could also be more such strange star-like objects in our galaxy.
Astronomers at Caltech, California conducted a study during which WISE 1534-1043 was observed 50 light-years far from Earth. This was quite different from the 2000 such objects found to this point. It appears bright at some wavelengths and lighter at other wavelengths. it's moving through the galaxy at a speed of 5 million miles per hour, which is way over other brown dwarf stars within the vicinity.
Considering the sunshine and speed, it's believed that it is often 10 to 13 billion years old, which is able to be twice as old as other objects. The galaxy must are quite new during now. This shows that this object has been here since the start and was out of sight of scientists till now. Its discovery was also a coincidence.
Citizen scientist Dan Casseldon was viewing data from the Wide Field Infrared Survey Explorer (neowise) after creating an internet program when he found it. At first, even the scientists were surprised to work out this because it had been different than expected. to test it, it was seen with the telescope of Keck Observatory of Hawaii. When viewed from different wavelengths in it, its brightness was sometimes less and sometimes more. Scientists estimate that it's extremely cold and extremely old. it's also not very far but it's plenty of speed.
